Discover Airlines winter flight schedule 2024/25: More flights to more destinations from Frankfurt and Munich

Discover Airlines starts the winter season* at the end of October with a versatile flight program. Compared to last year, the leisure airline has new destinations to offer, is increasing popular connections and is also taking off from Germany’s second-largest airport, Munich. Discover Airlines has so far only operated short and medium-haul flights there, but is planning to take off on long-haul flights at the beginning of 2025.

  • Departures from Germany’s major airports Frankfurt and Munich
  • Alta, Kittilä and Calgary: more connections into the snow than ever before
  • As of now all year round: Heraklion and Ibiza
  • 30 holiday destinations on short, medium and long-haul routes

On long-haul routes, the familiar “sunshine destinations” are on the flight schedule this winter. Travelers can look forward to the new addition of Tulum, which complements the Caribbean program alongside Punta Cana (5x) and Cancún (3x). Every Thursday and Sunday, Discover Airlines offers the only direct connection from Europe. The airline is also taking off more frequently than last winter to Orlando (10x) and Tampa Bay (6x). Fort Myers (2x) and Las Vegas (3x) round off the offer to North America. With a total of seven destinations, Eastern and Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean remain a key focus of the airline’s route network.

Those who prefer cold and snow can look forward to the daily connection to Calgary, Canada. Discover Airlines already intensified its cooperation with Air Canada last winter as part of the existing joint venture partnership and has been flying the Frankfurt – Calgary connection all year round since then.

Pure nature and winter also await travelers on a much shorter flight to Alta in Norway (2x) and Kittilä in Finland (2x). The destinations in the north are an absolute novelty in the leisure airline’s winter flight schedule. Due to strong demand, Discover Airlines has increased the originally planned weekly connection to Kittilä to two.

Holiday favorites on short and medium-haul routes: sun all year round

Both Frankfurt and Munich have popular short and medium-haul sunshine destinations on their flight schedules. Travelers have plenty of choice from both airports to the Canary Islands, with daily flights to Gran Canaria and Tenerife from Frankfurt. A new addition to the winter flight schedule is Ibiza, which will continue to be served by a weekly flight from both airports throughout the winter. Discover Airlines is also offering flights from both Frankfurt and Munich to Palma de Mallorca (14/9), Madeira (4/2), Hurghada (3/2) and Marrakesh (4/4).

From Frankfurt, the airline also flies once a week to Marsa Alam, twice a week to Bari and, for the first time during the winter, twice a week to Heraklion.

The flights can be booked at discover-airlines.com, lufthansa.com and with all German tour operators and travel agencies.
