Latvian airline airBaltic greeted Elena Vija as the one millionth passenger on airBaltic’s Oslo-Riga service.
Christophe Viatte, Chief Commercial Officer of airBaltic:
– With up to three daily flights each way, airBaltic offers a perfect service for both business and leisure travellers. Our Norwegian customers tell us that Riga is not only appealing for business ventures, holding seminars and conferences, but, with its spas, restaurants and shopping opportunities, it is also an ideal city break. For our Latvian customers Oslo is the entry point for exploring Norway, enjoying nature tourism in its fjords and mountains, and a convenient service to visit friends and relatives.”
Elena Vija received a gift from airBaltic upon arrival in Riga – two business class tickets to any of airBaltic`s 60 destinations in Europe, the CIS and the Middle East.
airBaltic offers up to three daily flights between Riga and Oslo in 2014. The Riga-Oslo route was unveiled in March 2004 with four weekly rotations. airBaltic was the first carrier to launch a direct scheduled service between the capitals of Latvia and Norway.
The lowest one-way fare on the Riga-Oslo route today is EUR 25, more than two times cheaper than ten years ago when bargain prices on the route started at EUR 55 on airBaltic.com
