Deltas Malaga to New York service returns for summer 2015

Delta Air Lines will once again be offering nonstop daily flights between between Malaga’s Costa del Sol Airport and New York John F. Kennedy International Airport for the 2015 summer season.

Flights will begin five times a week from June 4, 2015, increasing to daily from June 29, 2015. The U.S. airline has scheduled a Boeing 757-200 aircraft with 164 seats on the route, which is operated in conjunction with Delta’s joint venture partners Air France KLM.

– According to Malaga Tourismo, the United States has been the largest growth market recently for visitors to the local area,” said Perry Cantarutti, Delta’s senior vice president for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

– With 2015 being the eighth year of our seasonal flights between Malaga and New York, we remain committed to the region and facilitating travel and trade between Spain and the United States.”

In addition to these flights, the airline also offers year-round service from Madrid to Atlanta and New York-JFK, plus summer services between Barcelona and Atlanta.

Delta’s Malaga services feature fully flat-bed seats and a range of dining options in the BusinessElite cabin. Customers flying in Economy Comfort, Delta’s premium economy service, benefit from up to four additional inches of legroom and 50 percent more recline than Delta’s standard international Economy class seats, as well as priority boarding. Throughout the aircraft, all passengers will have access to on-demand in-flight entertainment. Wi-Fi is also being rolled out across Delta’s international fleet with completion due in 2016.

As one of Delta’s hub airports, New York-JFK has a number of amenities for passengers, including multiple food and retail outlets. Terminal 4 is also home to Delta’s largest Sky Club, featuring an open air Sky Deck rooftop terrace and specially-selected food and beverage options. All BusinessElite passengers enjoy complimentary access to the Sky Club.
