airBaltic Celebrates 20 Years of Connecting Oslo to Riga

The Latvian national airline airBaltic celebrates a remarkable milestone – 20 consecutive years of connecting Oslo (Gardermoen Airport) to Riga, Latvia. Over these years, the airline has connected Norwegian capital to its home base with daily service, providing passengers with a wide range of travel options – including a seamless, one-stop connection to the airline’s wide route network of more than 70 destinations in Europe and beyond.

Martin Gauss, President and CEO of airBaltic:

– Oslo was one of the first destinations in our network back in 2004, and since then, demand for this destination has increased. airBaltic now connects the two capitals with up to two daily flights, offering passengers a seamless travel experience and connections.”

– Additionally, our recent introduction of direct flights from Oslo to our seasonal base in Gran Canaria has experienced high demand and great success. We are grateful to our partners in Oslo for their cooperation throughout these years and are looking forward to many more years of collaboration in the future, Martin Gauss added.

– We would like to congratulate and thank airBaltic for 20 years of close cooperation with Oslo Airport. The fact that airBaltic so early and clearly saw potential in Norway as a destination has opened up great opportunities for travelers between our two countries. We look forward to 20 new years of cooperation, both at Oslo Airport and other Norwegian destinations, says Stine Ramstad Westby, Managing Director of Oslo Airport and group Director of major Airports at Avinor.

airBaltic connects Oslo to Riga with up to two daily flights and to Tallinn – with up to two flights a week. Additionally, during the winter season, the airline performs weekly non-stop flights to Gran Canaria. On all routes, airBaltic provides its passengers with two service classes – Economy and Business Class.
